The Tan Leather Jacket

I wore this outfit on Friday when I went to the cinema to watch The Lucky One, starring Zac Efron and Taylor Schilling. I have been excited for this movie to come out for ages because it’s a beautiful story. I think the movie was really good, not my favourite, I prefer Dear John from Nicholas Sparks to The Lucky One, but it was really romantic and lovely! Although, I feel like no good movies came out for ages and now they all seem to be popping up at once!

I was wearing my Current/Elliott skinny jeans, my new Zara tan PU Leather jacket, an ASOS cream top, my Topshop Leopard scarf and my River Island Moccasins and Bag.

I bought this tan leather style jacket a few weeks ago when I was attending a mini fashion show in Bristol (I still need to post those photos). I think it’s so pretty! I usually stick to black for these types of jackets, but I think tan is a refreshing change. I decided to keep a really simple and casual outfit here as usually I like to wear a lot of colour or prints, but the days where I keep things simple, sometimes I love them just as much, if not more! Did you all have a nice weekend? Have you watched The Lucky One yet?

Some Quick Snaps From Somerset House In London

Since the London trips are pretty much planned down to the last minute, I don’t really have any time to take photos of anything else other than the collections. It literally involves going from the train, into a taxi, to the location, into a taxi, to another location and so on until I get in a taxi and go to Paddington Station to get back on the train to come home.

However, when I was at Somerset House, the location was so beautiful I had to snap a few quick photos on my way out. Somerset House is actually the location where they hold most of the London Fashion Week shows, so I was very excited to visit it and check it out. It’s a beautiful place and I got to see Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and the London Eye again while travelling in a taxi!

I was wearing my Diesel Jeggings, my Topshop white jumper/sweater and bag, my Zara coat, my River Island pastel scarf and my Sam Edelman Petty booties.

Luckily, while I was inside Somerset House seeing the new AW12 styles, it was pouring down with rain, but when it was time to leave, the sun came out and it dried up. It’s just a shame the second time around that I was in London, I wasn’t as lucky and did get soaked. Anyway, have any of you been to Somerset House before? And I hope you are enjoying my AW12 posts!

Spikes & Ombre For My Anniversary

This is a comfy outfit I threw on to wear for mine and my boyfriends 4 year anniversary on Friday. We went to watch The Avengers at the cinema (which was hilarious and so good! I loved it!) and then we headed to get some pizza at an Italian pizza restaurant. Of course it was raining on and off, but we got lucky at the time we took these photos.

I’m wearing a Topshop Purple Ombre Studded Shoulder jumper/sweater, Topshop Acid Grey Leggings and Face ring, my Mulberry Candy Pink Denim Lily and my Urban Outfitters Boat wedges.

I fell in love with this jumper a couple of weekends ago and I just knew I would love it, so I bought it without trying it on. It combines 3 of my favourite things; studs/spikes, ombre and comfortable jumpers. It’s so warm and cosy! It works well with leggings too as it’s just long enough to cover them. I’ve included a photo of me sat in the display chair for Johnny Depp’s new movie Dark Shadows and also my cheese-less pizza since I don’t eat cheese. Did you all have a nice weekend?

Denim And Grey

I’m sorry that I haven’t been able to post much this week. I have been so busy with posts on DenimBlog, that I haven’t had much time and I was in London again yesterday (which I got soaked in the torrential down pour) as I have been visiting the AW12 press events. Yesterday however was my last London trip so I wont be going again for quite some time, which means I have plenty of time to catch up on my posts.

I’m wearing G-Star skinny grey moto jeans, a Topshop denim shirt, lilac tank top, silver horse ring and crystal beaded bracelet and my Kurt Geiger Nude Eleanor heels.

This outfit is one that I put together on the weekend and I really quite like it. I love denim shirts and I usually pair them with dark blue jeans, but I chose grey this time around and love how that turned out! It’s just a simple look, but sometimes I think simplicity can look just as good as layers and prints. What do you think? I had to dodge the rain showers for these photos too, ha ha!

Neon Rain

Like I mentioned in one of my previous posts, the rain has been constant every day. It’s made taking outfit photos quite difficult as I have either had to dodge the rain showers or go out with an umbrella. Despite it being really gloomy and damp, I decided to brighten up my day with neons. I’ve grown so fond of the trend and this neon pink jumper/sweater is actually one of my favourites as I’m sure you can tell!

I’m wearing my 7 For All Mankind jeans, my Topshop Neon Pink Jumper/Sweater and neon necklace, my ASOS neon yellow bag and neon pink watch, some New Look and my own DIY rainbow bracelets, my Sam Edelman Petty booties and a Lulu Guinness floral umbrella.

It’s mine and my boyfriends 4 year anniversary coming up this Friday, so we have a couple of things planned for that day which I’m excited about. I can’t believe it’s been 4 years! I have also acquired a few new clothes over the past 2 months, which I plan on sharing with you soon! It involves my new found love for leggings, some jackets and a couple of jumpers/sweaters! I have one final London trip planned this week too, then I don’t have to go for a while! Hopefully I can dodge the rain showers then too! If I’m lucky! How are you all anyway? Do you like my neon outfit?

In Love With Dip Dye Ombre

My River Island Men’s Ombre Denim Shirt.

As you probably know, one of my favourite trends at the moment (and one I have always been fond of) is ombre or dip dye. I think it’s beautiful and it adds so much character and fun to a piece of clothing. I’m obsessed with colour and most of my outfits, if not all of them, do contain a lot of brights, so having 2 variations of colour in a pair of jeans or a shirt really makes me smile. Especially as the shades transition into each other nicely.

I’ve included some of my favourite pieces that I found online and some inspiration of dip dye ombre that Andy wore in the outfit below. I love how she mixed both of the dip dye ombre pieces together instead of just wearing one. I also adore the frilly dress and the bright trousers. The shirts are gorgeous and classic and the shorts, I have always loved those since I saw them about a year ago. I love the mix of turquoise and lilac. It’s beautiful! Do you love the trend too?

Rain Rain Go Away As I’m Loving My London Days

I remember when I was a little girl, I used to get so upset when it rained. I was an outdoors kid, quite a tomboy actually, and I loved being outside with the trees and the grass the entire day. I’d sit inside watching the rain trickle down the windows and long for the warm weather to come back. I’m actually feeling a bit nostalgic about that now.

It’s been raining constantly for so long now and it’s forecast to carry on raining everyday, right into next week and probably longer. I mean, I know they call it April showers, but it’s sort of ridiculous how much rain there is. Since we had a taste of Summer not that long ago and I could almost go out in shorts, I thought that finally the gloomy, cold, wet weather would be over, but no such luck. So I find myself sitting here thinking of that old song; rain rain go away, come again another day…

Anyway, onto a more positive note, I am really enjoying the press days at London this time around! Above is a photo I snapped on the train on Tuesday when I was headed for Paddington Station and uploaded to my Instagram (LornaRaindrops). It rained quite a lot, but luckily we managed to be inside during the heavy down pours. I have one more final trip next week and then that’s me done this season for press events until later in the year. So far I have been able to see Diesel, J Brand, Coach, Acne, Hudson Jeans, Nicholas Kirkwood, Pinko, Lulu Guinness, Replay, Wrangler, Superdry, House of Holland, Dodo, Juicy Couture and I will be seeing Current/Elliott and the Arcadia Group which features Topshop and Miss Selfridge which I am most interested in. I do love the press events, they are tiring, but they are wonderful and I am thankful I can go to them!

This weekend I am also headed to a fashion show in Bristol! I’m excited about that one too! Plus, they have a Zara there! I can’t wait to go shopping there! Really, this is just an update post and more of a writing post as generally I don’t write that much. How are you all anyway? Thank you so much for being a fan of my blog and commenting all the time! I appreciate every single one!

Pegasus Pastels

I put this outfit together a few weeks ago when the weather was really warm and since it’s now back to being rainy, cold and gloomy, I thought posting it now would cheer my weather blues up a bit and remind me that warmer weather will arrive soon! I hope… You never can tell living here!

I’m wearing a Workshop Pegasus print t-shirt (bought at Topshop), my DIY Diesel Matic shorts, my Topshop wedges, ASOS pastel gummy bracelets and my Ray-Ban Cats 5000 Havana sunglasses.

I saw this t-shirt about 2 months ago in Topshop in the boutique section and I thought it was adorable! I love the pink and purple tone and also the fact that it’s actually a print of Pegasus. I made these shorts about 3 years ago too, I had a few pairs of Diesel Matic 81M (one of my favourite jeans) and I wanted to turn one into shorts, which I love, although sometimes I feel like they are just a little too short. It’s hard getting that balance in denim shorts!

P.S – Just to fill you in as well, I attended a big press event at Somerset House in London today and I saw the new collections from quite a few brands. I will have posts to come on Coach, Acne, Pinko, House of Holland and Dodo. I fell in love with Dodo! I can’t wait to share those pieces with you!
