Coach & Nicholas Kirkwood – Autumn/Winter 2012 Press Day

Finally here are the photos from the new Coach Autumn/Winter 2012 Press Day and the Nicholas Kirkwood Autumn/Winter 2012 Press Day. I saw both of these collections on different days during my London trips last month and I loved them!

I’ve never owned anything from Coach, but I have always loved the fact that they are not afraid to use bright colours and make their accessories fun! I also adore Nicholas Kirkwood, the shoes are generally always amazing and unique, but again I haven’t owned anything from them. I have included the writing about the collections under the sets of photos for each brand within this post. So what do you think of the new Autumn/Winter 2012 collections from Coach and Nicholas Kirkwood?

Dodo Jewellery Autumn/Winter 2012 Press Day

Here is the post that I have been talking about for a little while. It’s the new Dodo Jewellery Autumn/Winter 2012 collection which I saw in London a couple of weeks ago during the press day events. I hadn’t ever heard of Dodo before, but when I walked into the room I instantly fell in love with it! Not only are the pieces animal inspired and adorable (as you can see) they are even for a good cause! Dodo have been working with the WWF (World Wildlife Foundation) in Italy since the very beginning. They have been donating money to the organisation since 1995 and have already donated over 1.5 million euros which I think is incredible! In celebration of this, the Tiger charm has been created out of yellow sapphire and black diamond and it will be launching later in the year. I believe it’s on the orange stand below.

I love the fact that they named the brand Dodo based on the charming, adorable and comical qualities that the Dodo had. It really fitted in with the brands fragility and fun concept. It’s also a reflection of how much nature needs to be loved and protected, which is something they have always felt strongly about. It is a shame that the Dodo actually became extinct because of humans and those of you who know me will know that I adore animals and love all of them to bits, so this is why I am so fond of this brand. They actually do something and give back to a charity that is really important. I really did fall in love with so many of the pieces, especially the little animal charms and the long pointy, almost tiger tooth looking, charms.

The room was filled with fun as well! They had alphabet cookies to represent their alphabet charms and they even had Stefano, from Italian Fine Tailoring company Bottega Conticelli, there to make little gifts for us. He made me a LOVE wallet with my initials dangling from the corner (which you can see below) and I love it so much! It’s adorable! It’s really well made too.

Also, Dodo is actually the sister company of Italian Jewellery House Pomallato and they just launched their flagship store last year on Sloane Square in London and have a concession in Selfridges, so they are quite hard to come by, but that definitely makes them more special. Unfortunately the high price tag that comes with Dodo is not a good thing for me, but for those of you who do have a little more money to spend, you should definitely check out Dodo, they have such unique pieces that are so delicate and pretty! What do you think of the brand?

AW12 Press Day – J. Crew, Pinko, Acne & House of Holland

So last month (April) I was attending quite a lot of press days to see the Autumn/Winter 2012 collections from a lot of denim brands for DenimBlog. During the press events though, the PR companies who represent those brands also had their other brands collections on display, so I took a few photos of the pieces that I liked.

I have put them in sections in this post with the writing underneath each brand so you can see what is what. They definitely had some amazing pieces! This post features Acne, Pinko, J. Crew and House of Holland. Tomorrow I will be posting about Dodo Jewellery which I think you will all love as much as I do! They have some amazing pieces! You can also see the denim collections on DenimBlog by clicking here, although I am still in the process of posting quite a few.

Live Bloggers Event At Bristol Fashion Week

Those of you who follow me on Twitter will know that I was tweeting on Friday from the live bloggers event at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway for Bristol Fashion Week. I had an amazing time! I was third row from the front and I loved the collections that were shown! My favourites were the pastels that looked like candy (above photo), the ocean theme with the jellyfish in the background and the Paris theme with the florals.

It was so much fun! Definitely more fun than a normal fashion show! It lasted an hour and there were dance routines as well. Andrew Barton and Mark Heyes presented the show and spoke between each scene. I think Andrew looked great, he wore a polka dot blazer, cuffed chinos and boat shoes. I loved his outfit! Mark and Andrew together are actually hilarious too! So funny!

You can see all of the photos from the show in this blog post. Due to the lighting though, some are not as great as they could be. I’ve used some official photos courtesy of Bristol Fashion Week at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway and a mixture of my own too. You can sort of see a sneak preview of my outfit that I wore, but since this post is already really long, you will have to wait for a separate outfit blog post. Did anyone else attend any of the Bristol Fashion Week shows?

At The Paige VIP Cocktail Party

Last week, as you know, I attended a VIP cocktail party but I never told you all who the party was hosted by. Well, it was hosted by Paige! She’s re-designed her logos and the look of her brand which I announced on DenimBlog and she threw a VIP party to celebrate the launch. It was great seeing her and Donna Ida again. They are two of my favourite people! Along with Paige’s wonderful husband Michael 🙂

It was hosted in her penthouse in Soho, London and unfortunately it rained so we were under canopies on the balcony, but there was a gorgeous view of the London skyline at night. In the 3rd picture below, you can see me in the background with a funny expression on my face ha ha, I think I was in mid conversation. I saw quite a few celebs but I missed Peaches Geldof. One of the other highlights was when I left, I actually saw the paparazzi! Since I’m not a city girl, I never get to see them so that was exciting! What do you think of the pictures? Hopefully I can go to more parties like this soon, that would be great 🙂

Topshop & Miss Selfridge Spring/Summer 2012 Press Day

As you know I went to London for press days not long ago. My two favourites were the Topshop and Miss Selfridge Spring/Summer 2012 collections which I saw as part of the Arcadia group at The Music Rooms. I’m only allowed to post 5 images per brand though unfortunately, but hopefully I will be able to show more a little closer to the time of release.

I’m actually off to London again very soon for more press days and I can’t wait! I’m really excited about the three brands that I am going to be seeing! I am looking forward to sharing those pictures with you soon! Unfortunately I think it’s going to rain all day though. Ugh. You can click this post to see more images and writing about the clothes and you can see other pictures from press days here at DenimBlog.

The colour palette was very orange, pink and yellow and lots of neons were present. I loved the delicate knits from Topshop along with the sequin tank tops. They also had a heavily embellished leather jacket and beautiful shoes. There were so many pieces I would love to own! The make up looked really fun and I think having glitter on the shoes is a really great touch!

A Day Out At Kilver Court With Mulberry

I went to Kilver Court on Saturday to the launch event of the new Designer Emporium. They had up to 80% off of loads of things and there was even a sale in the Mulberry Factory Shop! I have been saving for my first Mulberry bag for ages and planned to buy one in London in a couple of weeks time on my birthday, but I managed to pick up the most amazing deal on the perfect bag! The Factory Shop is amazing and I can’t wait to go there again! I even met Roger Saul, the founder of Mulberry, and I will be interviewing him soon!

I’m wearing my Paige Premium Skyline collaboration Lorna jeans, a Topshop cream linen blazer, an All Saints Flamingo tee, Bloch Ballet flats courtesy of Spartoo, and my Marc Jacobs Karlie clutch.

Since Mulberry is celebrating its 40th Birthday this year, they still have their golden Bayswater balloons and the massive inflated one. I love these little things and I adore the cute birds you get on the bag! So, who wants to see what’s inside my Mulberry shopping bag? Anyone? Please click this post to view all of the images.
