Rain Rain Go Away As I’m Loving My London Days

I remember when I was a little girl, I used to get so upset when it rained. I was an outdoors kid, quite a tomboy actually, and I loved being outside with the trees and the grass the entire day. I’d sit inside watching the rain trickle down the windows and long for the warm weather to come back. I’m actually feeling a bit nostalgic about that now.

It’s been raining constantly for so long now and it’s forecast to carry on raining everyday, right into next week and probably longer. I mean, I know they call it April showers, but it’s sort of ridiculous how much rain there is. Since we had a taste of Summer not that long ago and I could almost go out in shorts, I thought that finally the gloomy, cold, wet weather would be over, but no such luck. So I find myself sitting here thinking of that old song; rain rain go away, come again another day…

Anyway, onto a more positive note, I am really enjoying the press days at London this time around! Above is a photo I snapped on the train on Tuesday when I was headed for Paddington Station and uploaded to my Instagram (LornaRaindrops). It rained quite a lot, but luckily we managed to be inside during the heavy down pours. I have one more final trip next week and then that’s me done this season for press events until later in the year. So far I have been able to see Diesel, J Brand, Coach, Acne, Hudson Jeans, Nicholas Kirkwood, Pinko, Lulu Guinness, Replay, Wrangler, Superdry, House of Holland, Dodo, Juicy Couture and I will be seeing Current/Elliott and the Arcadia Group which features Topshop and Miss Selfridge which I am most interested in. I do love the press events, they are tiring, but they are wonderful and I am thankful I can go to them!

This weekend I am also headed to a fashion show in Bristol! I’m excited about that one too! Plus, they have a Zara there! I can’t wait to go shopping there! Really, this is just an update post and more of a writing post as generally I don’t write that much. How are you all anyway? Thank you so much for being a fan of my blog and commenting all the time! I appreciate every single one!

Happy Easter!

I just wanted to wish you all a Happy Easter! I made these bunny ears today out of paper and cardboard as I never had any, ha ha. I’m On Instagram, Come Follow Me!

I had heard of Instagram from other bloggers sites, but I never really knew much about it. I finally downloaded it yesterday after unfortunately not having a great day, as my friend said it would probably cheer me up. She was right! I can now say I am addicted to Instagram and I love editing my photos and sharing them with people! I’m also following loads of other people!

Here are a few of my photos that I have uploaded to Instagram. I love the effects you can put on them and the borders! So please come follow me if you have the app, my username is the same as Twitter ‘lornaraindrops‘ and we can share photos! It’s a free app too so I would suggest getting it if you haven’t already! It’s wonderful! You will probably become addicted to it!

If you don’t want to get Instagram, you can see my photos on my FaceBook Instagram Feed here, where you can comment on them with your FaceBook account as well.

My Blogs Second Birthday Is Coming Up!

So my blog will be 2 years old on March 10th 2012 and I am wondering what sort of post to do in celebration of it. Last year I did a video showing you some of my favourite shoes, but this year I am stuck for ideas. What sort of post would you all like to see? I’m open to ideas! Perhaps you want to see something like a collection of mine, or a video, or something else? Any ideas are welcome! As long as it fits in with the style of my blog which is my personal style, things personal to me or things I love. So do you have some ideas?

P.S – If you are wondering about the picture I chose for this post, I took part in an Aussie hairstyling challenge with Aussie products. Unfortunately I wasn’t the winner, but I do quite like the hairstyle I went for!

Things That Make Me Smile During Winter

An adorable heart shaped water bottle that I got from my boyfriend last year. I can’t be without water bottles! I get so cold.

I thought I would put together a little post of the things that make me smile and keep me cosy during the Winter months! There are a mix of things, obviously not everything is listed, but some of the important ones are. What keeps you smiling during Winter?

Amazingly cosy slipper boots which I just got this morning as a gift from DearFoams. They are so warm! Slippers are a must for me, I always have cold feet. I love thick socks as well, I own quite a few and wear them everyday.

Books! I love lying in bed at night, snuggled up, reading books. I’m currently obsessed with the Twilight series and I can’t get enough of it!

My mums home made vegetable soup. I love it so much! It’s delicious! It has carrots, broccoli, pearl barley and potatoes.

The first sign of Spring! I spotted these daffodils just springing on the weekend. There is nothing like hope, knowing Spring and Summer are around the corner!

Cosy pyjamas! I have a lot of pyjamas, but I really like the thicker bottoms with fun prints like these ones with foxes!

Adorable Christmas Mulberry packaging! I usually love Mulberry’s gift wrapping, but at Christmas time it was so cute with the jingle bells and ribbon.

Cat cuddles! Who can say no to sleepy cat cuddles? I love snuggling up with kitties more than most things. I’m a huge animal lover, especially kitties!

It’s Snowing!

Finally the cold weather has turned into something worth wile! Snow! I was so excited when it started to snow yesterday. I was out to lunch at the time with my boyfriend and although it was absolutely freezing, I was happy because I love snow and I rarely get to see it! It’s so pretty! Here are some of the snow photos we took and the rest of the outfit photos will be posted soon! Have you been enjoying snow too?

Happy New Year! My 2011 Review!

Unfortunately I am really ill at the moment so I haven’t been able to do any new photos, I have the flu and it’s awful, I’ve barely been sleeping, but I wanted to wish you all a very Happy New Year! 2011 for me has been full of ups and downs! I only share with you the ups because I don’t like to moan or put negativity into things. So focusing on the best parts, it’s been really good! My blog is almost 2 years old and during this past year it has grown tremendously!

I have gained a lot of new readers and fans, had opportunities to work with brands and people that I haven’t worked with before and also had some really great trips to London, brought out my collaboration jeans with Paige and I’ve had some nice magazine features, but those were mainly for DenimBlog, Chicismo voted me as the top UK style blogger, 7 For All Mankind put me in their top 10 bloggers list and I even got a new hair cut, which I am still unsure on lol.

I don’t think I can thank you enough for being such great fans of Raindrops of Sapphire, being supportive and enjoying the posts that I make! I really do appreciate it and I always reply to every comment left on my blog to show my appreciation as well. I hope 2012 will be just as wonderful for blogging and sharing things with you all! I hope you have a great 2012! If it is going to be anything like 2011, it will fly by and it will be Christmas again soon! Ha ha, sometimes I never know where the time goes!

Also, WordPress.com sent me my years annual report, which you can see here.
