Be My Valentine – Pink & Red Finds

Mulberry Candy Pink French Purse.

Since Valentines Day is right around the corner, I thought it would be fun to put a little post together of the things I like and think are appropriate for Valentines Day! Keeping with the theme of pink and red (for romance and love of course) I have piled together loads of items that I found online. Some are very cheap while others are quite expensive. I like to include a mix.

I personally would love everything in this list! Especially the Mulberry purse above, the Ksubi pink jeans, the Christian Louboutin Pigalle Platos, the glittery nail polish and the Azendi love birds necklaces! Just as a clue to one of my upcoming posts next week, I recently received a parcel in the mail and it contains one of these pink items… That’s all I will say! Maybe some of you regular readers will guess it! It’s something I have wanted for a long time and saved for…

Mulberry’s New Cookie Style Bags

These are the brand new Cookie styles from Mulberry! I am absolutely in love with them! They are a new take on their classic bags and they have cookie cutter edges, I think that makes them so unique and interesting! I love that extra detail. What do you think of them? Unfortunately I can’t afford them, I don’t think they warrant the extra price tag compared to the original styles, but they are definitely gorgeous! I had to share them with you! They come in the Lily, Mini Lily, Bayswater, Small Bayswater Satchel and a Purse. The Lily in Oak is my favourite! You can see all of the new styles in the coming soon section on Mulberry here.

Some New Purchases

What I love most about this time of year (despite it being freezing which I definitely don’t love) is the huge sales! Literally everywhere has sales and I like to shop them a couple of weeks after they start because everything ends up even more reduced. Not all of these purchases are sale items, but a few of them were super cheap anyway or I had discount codes. I haven’t bought all of these this week though, these are purchases that I have accumulated over the past 2 months, but haven’t shared with you yet.

Above, from left to right, is my new Topshop PU leather quilted biker jacket, a Topshop white sweater/jumper, Current/Elliott grey leopard jeans, Miss Selfridge burgundy and feather print leggings, Topshop necklaces and Kurt Geiger boots.

The jacket I am absolutely in love with! The quilting on it is amazing! The jeans have been on my wish list for a good few months and I finally saved enough for them. I always had trouble with printed leggings since most of the time they are made from polyester, so what I decided to do for the feather ones is put them over the top of the cotton burgundy ones and I can’t feel a thing! So excited about that! The boots will be great for wearing with jeans and the necklaces were adorable!

What items have you been buying over the holiday sales? I literally just save all my money for clothes purposes, I only sometimes eat lunch out maybe 3 times a month and I don’t go out to parties or anything like that, so all of my money does go on clothes. It’s a pretty bad obsession! Ha ha!

Neon Everything For Spring/Summer 2012

I first noticed the neon trend when I was attending the SS12 press days in London late last year. Pretty much every brand that I saw had something neon or fluro in their collection and I knew it was going to be big! Since then, I have been watching online as all of the stores are slowly releasing the trend. So many items are now in neon and I think it’s amazing! I’m a big fan of the trend!

I know for some of you it’s a flash back to the 80’s, but since I was born at the end of that decade, I wasn’t around for it so I am excited to be wearing it now! The image above is from the Aldo collection, but I have included some of my favourite neon pieces for Spring/Summer 2012 below! What do you think of the neon trend? Those Brian Atwood heels are incredible! I also adore the neon Marc by Marc Jacobs bag and of course, neon denim!

New Knitwear Purchases

It’s been a while since I made some knew purchases for clothes. I’ve been trying to save some money and hold out for the sales, but these 3 items I just couldn’t resist! I am always on the look out for knitwear because I love cute jumpers/sweaters, but I have a really hard time finding them. A lot of you know I’m irritated by fabrics like wool, mohair, polyester etc as I have sensitive skin and I also find it hard to get ones that are flattering on me because of my shape.

The neon pink one above is my favourite as it’s so bright and warm as well as soft. It doesn’t irritate me at all and neither does the brown one. The rabbit one is thinner so it will be appropriate for warmer weather too, but I had to share these new purchases with you as I’m in love with them! I also got a pair of boots in the Kurt Geiger sale which I will show you soon and I am hoping to get a couple more things in the sales. Did you all have a nice Christmas and have you done any sale shopping?

My Christmas Wish List

Mulberry Oak Lily.

We all have our wish list around Christmas time and I have a mixture of things that I would love to own. Unfortunately most of them are expensive so I am hoping those items might go in the sale after Christmas so I can buy them for myself as a late Christmas present with the money I saved up. I am hoping I might get some of the cheaper things though! Like the scarf and the manicure kit! The Mulberry Lily in Oak is my most wanted though so it’s my mission to make one of those mine! I also love the Sam Edelman Petty boots and the J Brand Coated Red 901 Leggings! What are some of the things on your wish list this Christmas?

In Love With The Red Sequin Dress By Rare

ASOS Rare Red Sequin Bandeau Dress With Bow.

I saw this dress on another bloggers blog and I thought ‘wow, this is amazing’, I actually can’t believe I missed it on ASOS when I browse through it so many times a week. I think it would be the most perfect dress for the Christmas parties and just any excuse for dressing up really. The red is a deep red so that it’s classy, not trashy, and the black satin bow at the waist really ties it together and makes it feminine. I think it’s beautiful! I love anything sparkly! Unfortunately I wont buy it because these types of strapless dresses never fit my body properly, they constantly slip down and just fit awkwardly. Do you think this dress is beautiful too?

Inspirations: Berries, Browns, Oranges & Mustards

Autumn is my favourite time of year for clothes! The Autumn hues of berries, oranges, browns and mustards just really make me smile and even though they are colourful, which is usually for Summer, they are still muted and wearable for the colder weather. I saw these two pictures for the Net-A-Porter Winter Boutique and they really inspired me! I love the colour palettes and the styling here. It’s perfect and it just screams leaves and Autumn! I love it! I’ve put together a few items in these beautiful shades which I have fallen in love with!

I’ve also been inspired by the styling of the MiH and Net-A-Porter capsule collection below. I first saw these pictures a couple of months ago when the collection got released and I thought that the way the pieces are put together really shows Autumn! I love it! It’s so classic yet still combining trends like leopard!

And now below are some clothes/shoes/accessories that I have found online in these Autumn hues and I wanted to share them with you. I think there around 17 items in total and I love every single one of them! The first coat below in burgundy is actually the coat that I bought a couple of weeks ago but I haven’t been able to share with you yet. I’m obsessed with it! I’ve also loved the Zara blazer featured below too for some time, I think it’s perfect but the price of it is just too much for me unfortunately!
