Interview With Lorna On AOL News

I recently did an interview with Ben Muessig from AOL News about raw/dry denim. Raw denim is something very close to me as I have a couple of pairs that I have broken in and love! I really love the way you can create your own wash on your jeans just by wearing them. I spoke to Ben about how long you should wait before washing them, what raw denim is about and more.

Unfortunately my old Sling & Stones Rachel jeans are too big on me now so I had to retire them. I have the Sling & Stones Naomi skinnys on my wish list but I can’t afford to get them yet. I like breaking in raw denim during the winter months! Would you like to see photos of my old Sling & Stones progress anyway?

  1. Actually, I’d be interested in seeing the photos and learning more. Raw denim has always intrigued me but I don’t own any. The best access for me to get a pair is online, but I’m reluctant bc they are expensive and I don’t know how the fit might be – do you buy true to size, do they shrink up, etc.

  2. You might be better off starting out with a cheaper pair, like Good Society, they have a very nice pair which I own and they are under $100 🙂 You need to buy them so they are really tight fitting on you, the reason being they will stretch out a lot with wear and get really big. You can buy some shrink to fit ones but I don’t like those, you have to buy them too big and then sit in a bath tub of water with them on until they shrink to fit your body. I hate that so just buy a pair you don’t have to shrink first and buy them really tight 🙂 Does that help?
