You all know that I love blogging the red carpet events because there are so many amazing dresses! The 62nd Annual Primetime 2010 Emmy Awards show was no exception! It was held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California on August 29 2010 and it was full of incredible gowns.
My favourite dresses have to definitely be the sparkling and glittery ones. There is always something I love about those kind of dresses! They have so much glamour to them and they make you dazzle! I’m glad there were lots present last night! Heather Morris’s dress (above and below) is my all time favourite! The gold tones really suit her blonde hair and skin tone, she looks stunning!
Katrina Bowden wore a long lilac ruffle dress and I think it’s so feminine and dainty, it works really well for her. It’s another one of my favourites! I especially love the colour against her hair and and skin, I think it’s incredibly cute and girly! I really do love it!
Eva Longoria wore an all black ensemble. She chose a fitted and flowing black dress by Robert Rodriguez. I adore the flower print on the skirt part of the gown, it definitely adds that extra feminine touch to an otherwise quite harsh colour.
Lea Michele opted for a sapphire coloured ruffle dress from Oscar de la Renta dress which she paired with Brian Atwood shoes, a Swarovski clutch and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. I think she looks gorgeous!
Claire Danes was another lady to wear a glittering dress to the Emmy’s. Hers was a more subtle and pale gold, almost like a silver and I think it’s stunning! She looks so simple and so beautiful.
Nina Dobrev looks just wow! Her hair, her make up, everything about this just screams glamorous! I love it! She was wearing a cream lace gown by Zuhair Murad and it fits her perfectly! It flatters her slim figure amazingly and I love the way the body of it has some sparkle. It’s a perfect dress and a perfect look!
January Jones chose to wear a bright blue metallic gown with an opening at the front and a long train at the back. I love the colour of the dress and I like how she accessorized it with Cartier diamonds and Miu Miu heels! It was reported that January’s platinum and diamond stud earrings are worth $1.2 million! Oh my goodness! It’s a shame we can’t see them!
Heidi Klum was another favourite of mine at last nights award show. She chose a little black lace and mesh dress by Marchesa which she paired with Christian Louboutin Pigalle heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewellery. She looks so classic and I love this gorgeous take on the little black dress!
Olivia Munn wore a drak red strapless dress by Zac Posen for the awards show. She matched the gown with Bulgari jewelry, a pair of Stuart Weitzman shoes and a Judith Leiber clutch. I think she looks beautiful in this outfit and it’s a very flattering dress!
Maria Menounos also jumped on the glittery and glamorous dress trend for the evening! She opted for a Ralph & Russo custom designed couture gown, which was covered with more than 15,000 Swarovski jewels, beads and stones! She finished off her look with a pair of Jimmy Choo Kenzie shoes. I have to say she looks absolutely amazing! I love the way the back of the dress is open and the shape of it really hugs her figure. It’s just an overall stunning look for Maria!
Naya Rivera chose an over the top, but also very gorgeous and sexy, emerald green dress by Simin. She accessorized her gown with Avakian earrings, Jimmy Choo shoes, a Judith Leiber clutch and a Le Vian ring. I really like the way her dress is open at the front and you can see her legs, I think that always adds a scent of sexiness to a otherwise classy look.
Jayma Mays kept her dress quite simple and plain but it still looked wonderful! She chose a dark sapphire blue chiffon and ruched ribbon gown by Burberry which she paired with Jimmy Choo Zena platform shoes and a black crystal clutch. It’s definitely a more understated look but it still shines through above some of the others! I like it a lot!
Sofia Vergara, who I’m used to blogging in denim, wore a pale sunshine yellow ombre and sequin dress by Carolina Herrera which fitted her perfectly! She also wore a pair of Brian Atwood heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Not many people can actually pull off the pale yellow colour and I’m not one of them, Sofia however, really works the colour well against her hair and skin tone, I think she looks beautiful!
Kim Kardashian wore a dress that I actually didn’t think flattered her sexy and curvy figure very well. She opted for a white flowing gown by Marchesa which she wore with a Lorraine Schwartz cuff. I think the way the dress is around the bust area really hides her curves and makes her proportion look a little off. She would have looked more amazing if it was strapless! I do however love the dress, it’s very pretty!
